They are a breath of fresh air in the world of design. These Elica range hoods come in designs that tell the story of their maker’s foresight and talent. They are gorgeous, unique, efficient, and clever additions for any kitchen. In a country where we are encouraged to express our individuality, Americans often desire a style that’s a little different. Elica makes each of their range hoods with a special design.

Behold the cosmic glory of the space collection. It appears Elica looks to the universe for inspiration, using space and stars as components of their designs. Often with contemporary decor we see geometrical shapes and either bright neon colors or standard black with standard white. Definitely a home decor to be desired.

The Star Collection has a powerful presence in the room. It’s really a light installation that doubles as a range hood. There are multiple great reasons a range hood improves the kitchen, but the best ones include reducing grease buildup, and removing odor and heat. Some lesser known abilities of a range hood include preventing carbon monoxide poisoning, and removing other pollutants and toxins from the air. This Starlight model will do all that and put you in the mood of being out at a nightclub.

The Cingoli is made of stainless steel and has glass wings that are designed to float above a kitchen island. Range hoods by Elica come with their special chef control software built in. Chef control allows the user to select the type of cooking they will be doing and the range hood ventilates accordingly, saving energy and providing the cleanest air possible. Elica prides itself on creating economically advanced range hoods that are green and good for the planet.

The range hoods all have the potential of being remote control operated for the user’s convenience. The magnitude of the technology in these range hoods amazes me. It’s official. We’re living in the times of 2001 Space Odyssey. So here’s a question for anyone who speaks Italian. As I was researching the Elica company, I kept getting webpages written in Italian that depicted large fans and spirals and I wanted so desperately to be able to read about it. Does  anyone know what elica means in Italian?
